One of my biggest gripes is the amount of ‘eco’ cleaning products that still come packaged in single use plastic! Even lots of the refill/subscription based products are still using plastic packaging that is hard to recycle. I am pleased to say I may have found a genuine eco friendly cleaning solution…. Eco- Mate!

Its not just the packaging though, inside the bottles are a wide range of eco cleaning and self care products made from entirely natural plant based ingredients and none of the products tested on animals. Win, Win, Win!
The paper bottles not only look lovely, they feel really sturdy too. The paper material is sustainably made using suagr cane waste and reclycled paper pulp. Each bottle is lined with a material made from natural pine sap! By using a paper bottle instead of a single use plastic bottle you will save 40g of plastic!
The pumps (on handwash bottle) are fully reusable and made from metal rather than plastic which is also a great touch. The bamboo lids are screw top, without any plastic or rubber seals, each bottle then has a natural cork stopper in the neck with a small hole to dispense the product. When your bottle is empty you can simply use a corkscrew to remove the cork and then that can be recycled separately. Its just all very well thought through and lovely!
When your paper bottle is empty you can simply pop it into your paper recycling or even into your home compost bin where it will biodegrade in just a matter of weeks.

Eco-Cleaning products- Honest Review
I’ve been trying out three of their products and here are my honest thoughts after using them:
Hand Wash- Bergamot & Black Pepper
What I love about this product:
- Unusual but lovely scent
- Reusable metal pump instead of plastic
- Leaves your hands feeling really soft and nourished
What I didn’t like:
- I’d like to see more scents to choose from in the future
First things first… Bergamot and Black Pepper is not a scent that Ive ever come across, but I was pleasantly surprised! If you are not into floral scented products then I definitely recommend giving this a go as an alternative. This is currently the only scent they offer in the hand wash, but judging by their other products I imagine they will develop a wider range of scents soon.
Washing up liquid- Pink Grapefruit
What I love about this product:
- Cleans really well, even greasy oven trays
- Hypoallergenic
- Leaves your hands feeling soft
What I didn’t like:
- I’d like to see more scents to choose from in the future
- It would be good if this came with a metal pump like the hand-wash does
Multi-Surface Cleaner
What I love about this product:
- Safe to use on food surfaces
- Can be diluted for larger cleaning jobs
- Having an unscented option is great, particularly for people with allergies
- Cleans really well and doesn’t leave any residue
What I didn’t like:
- I’d like to see more scents to choose from in the future just for balance!
- It would be good if this came with a metal pump like the hand-wash does
Final Thoughts
All in all, I really believe in these products. The packaging is so innovative and very high quality and the products themselves work well and are eco friendly and kind to your skin. I genuinely cannot fault them and look forward to watching the range expand and grow.
