Description
This nested set of Hornbeam bowls is turned on a self-built pole late by craftsman Jaz Auden, in his outdoor workshop in Brittany. A pole lathe is an electric-free, pedal-powered lathe that just requires the use of sharp tools and strong legs.
Nesting is an advanced pole-lathe turning technique that allows both bowls to be turned from the same piece of wood, the smaller bowl is created from the waste wood left from the bigger bowl. A truly sustainable way of producing bowls!
This particular set features a fairly deep bulbous form with a beaded rim and turned decorative details.
The bigger bowl measures approximately 16×7 cm
The smaller bowl measures approximately 11x4cm
Finished with WALNUT oil so please consider this if purchasing for anyone with nut allergies.
